Handy Deal: Home Depot Talking Tool Chest

Posted October 2, 2008 by evette
Found in: Toys, Deal of the Day

This handy little tool kit talks to your child as they play.  You push buttons on the side of the toolbox to hear about what each tool is used for.  When I was a kid we had to try to figure things out for ourselves.  So, if pretend nails needed to be hammered into my bedroom door, I probably used a pretend screw driver instead until my mother or father informed me exactly what the tool was used for.  Lucky kids these days. :)  What’s super cool is that this kit comes with a battery-powered drill.

Home Depot Talking Tool Chest: $21.99 Now: $13.98

It’s that time of year again!  Time to check out the baby Halloween costumes that are now available for purchase.  Here are some of my favorite infant costumes that are new for 2008

                   Lion Costumes

Plush Infant Lion Costume: $28.99               Lil’ Lion Infant Costume: $44.99

You can go with the cute and comfy lion costume on the right, or the the costume with a bit more detail and “pazzaz” on the left.

                                                                 Affordable Costumes

                                                           Shark Bunting Infant Costume: $15.99

I’ve always said the bunting costumes are my fave beacuse the costume designers can be more creative.  If this shark had legs, it just wouldn’t work!  It looks like the baby model is saying “Pshhh, mommy please.”

Lil Penguin Elite Collection Infant Toddler Costume: $39.99

Science Kit Deal: Sea Monkeys Mini World

Posted September 30, 2008 by evette
Found in: Toys, Deal of the Day

This fun and educational sea monkey kit is on sale! This is a bit different than your childhood kit because with the new mini world design, you can view your sea friends from above vs. through the sides like original sets.  Sea monkeys will always remind me of the South Park episode when Cartman orders a Sea People kit and thinks they are actually people he can play with.  It’s hilarious.  Here’s a short clip from SeaMonkeyGeek.com:

Sea Monkeys Mini World - On the Moon: $9.99 on sale

What is the Funniest/Most Embarrassing Thing Your Child Has Ever Said in Public?

    It’s Freebie Friday!

You can win this Kaloo 123 Ball from PetitBaby.com if you answer this question in the comments section:

What is the funniest/most embarrassing thing your child has ever said in public?

I thought of this question because of the hilarious video I posted on Monday. Kids’ really are very honest and sometimes they say things (sometimes to strangers) that they shouldn’t, but bless ‘em, they just don’t really have much of a filter yet. :)  And, sometimes you can’t help, but laugh even though you shouldn’t.

We will pick & announce the winner on Thursday, Oct 2nd.  The winner must be able to provide a U.S. address for shipment.  Thanks for participating and …GOOD LUCK!

Jurassic Deal: Dinosaur Park - Create Your Own Fern Garden

Posted September 25, 2008 by evette
Found in: Toys, Deal of the Day

This toy is especially cool because it’s a little play set for your kids’ dinosaur toys and a little garden all in one!  Give your child a little responsibility by having them care for these “easy-to-grow” plants. They also learn to be patient while they wait about 4 weeks for the plants to sprout!

Dinosaur Park: Create Your Own Prehistoric Fern Garden: $14.95 Now: $11.00
