My mommy-friends and our kids spend a lot of time with our strollers. Not long ago, I documented my own search for the ideal lightweight stroller. We use our Maclaren for everything from exercise equipment for our weekly 3- mile walk, to keeping a wondering toddler at bay, to an impromptu highchair.
After all of the research we did for our current stroller, I thought we had seen it all. Enter Taga: the stroller that promises to be all things to all parents. In just 20 seconds, this contraption goes from being a push stroller into being a bike with child-seat or basket for shopping.
Brilliant! The seat on the front can be adjusted for any age child, facing either the parent or forward, and even accommodate multiple children. Picture this: instead of driving around the parking lot for hours in search of a spot, you whiz by the line of cars on your bike.
Instead of wrestling with getting your children unbuckled from their carseats and coercing them into staying put while you wrangle the stroller from the back, you already have them secured into their seat and take less than a minute to convert the bike into a push stroller.
You enter the store, accomplish the tasks at hand, gracefully exit, and ride past all of the other moms in the parking lot doing the load-the-kid-fold-the-stroller-close-up-the-car-get-into-traffic boogie.
Accessories include a rain cover, side pockets for snacks and drinks, a conversion kit for a Maxi Cosi car seat, and even a funny box-”boat” that two kids up to 52 pounds can ride in together. What an ingenious way to go green while keeping your commitment to staying in shape!
