All too quickly, our baby went from being all gooey in our arms to being able to sit up on her own and feed herself finger foods. It has been amazing to see how naturally she has learned how to pig out on Cheerios while she sits up all by herself. There are so many baby feeding products on the market, and for eating while on the go, my absolute favorite is the Caddy hook-on chair.

We have been able to hook this chair on all shapes and sizes of tables when we’ve been out and at home when we’ve had company using up all of our chairs. It has a very easy-to-use system for locking onto the table by just sliding it onto the edge of the table and pushing up the locking arms. When we are done using it, I can simply squeeze the handles to release the locking arms with ease. There are rubber arms so the table doesn’t get scratched up. It is more secure than many of the high chairs that are available at restaurants. This chair is so easy to take with us, folding totally flat, so it fits efficiently into our trunk. The best part for me, though, is that when we put her into this chair, she can’t wiggle out of it as easily as she can a high chair. She sits much deeper into this chair while still being able to reach the table and grab her food, remaining snug. When we’ve put her into a high chair at restaurants (even buckled in), she has figured out how to turn herself around in the chair and try to stand up using the arms as supports. With the Caddy, she is snuggled in very securely and can’t get herself all turned around or in a position to hop out. At less than $35, the Caddy costs less than it’s competitors, yet doesn’t compromise in safety. It is designed for babies 6-36 months (up to 37 lbs.) so we will be using this chair for a very long time.
