Wow. I can’t believe people are complaining about this! For a second I was mad at NBC for covering it, but then I decided it might be a good thing so people might realize how ridiculous they sound. There is a cute BBC kids’ show called CBeebies which features pretty co-host Cerrie Burnell. She was born with disability that left her with an incomplete right arm. So, parents are complaining that their kids might be frightened by this.
This quote from a concerned parent kills me:
“I didn’t want to let my children watch the filler bits on the bedtime hour last night because I know it would have played on my eldest daughter’s mind and possibly caused sleep problems.”
It kills me that some parents try to shelter their kids from so much. They should learn to deal with certain realities of life.

I always like to keep up with current events, but sometimes watching the news can make me a little cynical. So, when I ever stumble upon GOOD and HAPPY news, I just have to share! When I first read the headline “Boy asks for food, not toys” I though “Oh Lord, I bet this story is gonna be about a horrible parent who gives their kid tons of junk food for their birthday because that’s what he loves to eat.” I was way off! Watch the video…it really brought a little tear to my eye and you can tell his mother is so proud of him!
