This is going to sound really ODD, but this baby shower I went to had little pigs in a blanket type appetizers, but the dough was shaped like diapers. So, essentially it was like we were eating tiny little babies…but it was a fun idea.
I always like summer baby showers because you can make the fabulous sherbet & 7 up drink:
Sherbet Punch:
3/4 container of orange or pineapple sherbet
1 can frozen orange juice
1 lg. can fruit punch
2 liter 7Up, may not need all
Pour into punch bowl orange juice, fruit punch and 7Up (taste to make sure have enough 7Up). Spoon in desired amount of sherbet.
You can also mix this with champagne or Malibu rum. YUM!
I think the best thing a person can make to impress me at a baby shower would be a super unique CAKE! I don’t have a recipe…but cake is very important..thats my two cents.
This is a recipe for buffalo chicken dip. This is the most amazing dip ever! Wont be any left at the shower!!
2 packages of Cream Cheese
2 cans of white chicken breast (Try to get a name brand like Tyson, Hormel, or Swanson).
Frank’s Buffalo Sauce (It will be near the Texas Pete hot sauce)
Ranch Dressing
1 to 2 packages of Shredded Mozarella Cheese
Layer the dish with both packages of cream cheese as even as possible. Then empty both cans of chicken after you drain excess liquid, you will need to shred the chicken with your fingers since it is such big pieces. Then shake as much Frank’s sauce as you want. I usually make sure it is a good amount covering all the chicken. Then squeeze the same amout of Ranch just making sure there is an entire layer. Then add a little more Frank’s on top again. Finish with a good layer of the mozarella. Put in the oven on 400 until cheese is melted through. Don’t forget the Scoops for dipping!!
