Going Green: Organic Baby Bath & Diapering

Posted June 30, 2008 by dawn
    Found in: Go Green, Bath

I thought I’d kick off my Monday spot by posting about some fabulous baby care products I just discovered. I’m constantly on the lookout for safe, gentle and organic products to use with my daughter, but they’re unfortunately few and far between.

                                            Terressentials

Terressentials is a USDA Certified Organic company that states:

“Terressentials isn’t like other companies. We only use ingredients that the USDA permits in certified organic food. We proudly list the ingredients of all of our products so you can scrutinize them and compare them to products by other manufacturers. Many of our products aren’t just “organic” by the USDA food standards — they’re 100% certified organic — every single ingredient is USDA certified organic.”

                                                                     Organic Baby Wash

Their Baby Line includes Organic Baby Wash for little heads and bodies made from 100% organic olive castile. The 100% Organic Terrific Tush Treatment (pictured above) comes as a push-up stick for convenient, one-handed application, or as a cream in a 2 oz. jar. Check out their entire Baby Line here.

Terressentials is among the few companies producing baby products rated a “zero” (low hazard) by the Environmental Working Group’s Cosmetic Safety Database. If you haven’t used this database yet, give it a try. Simply enter the name or type of products that you’re curious about (or currently using) in the search bar at the top, and you’re off and running.

You can check out answers to other frequently asked questions about Terressentials here. Happy pampering!

Kush: Some Relief for Your Aching Pregnant Body

Posted June 26, 2008 by evette
    Found in: Maternity, Health

This would be great for a baby shower gift for the new mommy-to-be!  Many discomforts come along with being pregnant:  aching back, nausea, bloating, heartburn, swollen feet…swollen BODY!  A women needs all the relief from theses “side effects” she can get, while she patiently waits nine months for her precious new bundle of joy to arrive.

KushThe “Kush” is a “Natural Rest for the Breasts” because it fits perfectly between so you can rest comfortably on your side.  It will also help relieve breast discomfort while you nurse your baby.

If you aren’t pregnant the Kush might be great for breast pain during your menstrual cycle, or for proper spine alignment if you have back problems.

The Kush company knows that all breasts are not created equal, so there are instructions on how you should order your Kush.  For example, if you have breast implants you should order a B Cup Kush regardless of your actually bra cup size.
